Natura 2000 Network
Costas Garraf is an area declared a Site of Community Importance (SCI) and Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA), a member of the Natura 2000 network. marine area with a wide area stretching between the towns of Castelldefels and Cunit and spaces in the ground neck, Muntanyeta space and the mouth of Foix. Long Beach and the mouth of the stream of Ribes are included as natural areas inventory of wetlands in Catalonia.
Costas Garraf is an area of special importance for food and seabird communities of the Delta del Llobregat, Delta del Ebro and even the Mediterranean shearwater breeds in the Balearic Islands. It is also an important area for bird migration in the periods of rest.
